Out-of-form Arsenal will be back at home hoping to bag three points from the visit of Newcastle United to boost their title hopes. Like their hosts, Newcastle are also struggling, and both sides will be looking to return to winning ways. This encounter finds Arsenal in second place as Newcastle starts the round sitting 14th. Read on for our prediction of the match.
The Gunners are at risk of ending another season trophyless, and this time it will be harder to take after doing well all season only to falter in the final two months. They’ve been eliminated from two cups and pushed to second in the Premier League while there are no guarantees in the Champions League.
It also looks bad for Newcastle United, who look set to miss out on Europe after suffering their 15th defeat of the season. It makes for grim reading to the hopeful Newcastle fans that the Magpies are winless in 13 away league games at Arsenal.

Arsenal - Newcastle: Form Analysis
Once 10 points clear of Manchester City, Arsenal seems on course to bottle yet another campaign that looked quite promising. Two straight league defeats, and one of them against a direct competitor, have left the Gunners in a very awkward situation. While they were lackluster in most of their matches, Arsenal rose to the occasion in the 2-1 loss to Manchester City.
They missed a number of good chances and were eventually outdone by City’s individual brilliance. In midweek, they dropped to second place, and having looked short of confidence, this could be another tormenting outing. Arsenal run the risk of losing three straight EPL games for the first time since 2022.
Newcastle United are winless at Arsenal in their last 13 PL visits.
Newcastle United might want to add to Arsenal’s woes, but they come around with their own baggage. The visitors arrive for this game on a run of four straight defeats across all competitions. This run was set off by a 7-2 thrashing by Barcelona at Camp Nou, and they’ve gone on to fall in three league outings.
The most recent of them was against Bournemouth, leaving Eddie Howe under immense pressure. This season, they’ve managed just four away wins in their 16 Premier League games. Their last two wins on the road were against London sides (Chelsea and Tottenham), and the Magpies will be gunning for the same here. However, apart from being winless in their last 13 away league games at Arsenal, Newcastle have only scored once in nine of those visits.

Arsenal & Newcastle Squad Analysis
One of the problems that have come across for Arsenal’s slump has been injury to key men. Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber, and Ricardo Calafiori have been missing in action lately. Saka is expected back, though. Skipper Martin Odegaard has been in and out of the team while Noni Madueke and Ben White have been off-color.
Kai Havertz has been scoring important goals and did so in the last game too. However, he has also been singled out for big misses, something he will need to address. The German was picked ahead of Viktor Gyökeres last time out, and it remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta injects any changes.
Aaron Ramsdale is set to face his former employers, Arsenal, as the Magpies’ starter.
Newcastle United’s season has also largely been impacted by injuries. There will be no easing ahead of this game with Tino Livramento succumbing to a groin strain in the Bournemouth defeat. It is reported he is out for the remainder of the season, which will definitely hurt the Magpies.
Arsenal-linked Anthony Gordon is also out of this encounter with a similar injury. It doesn’t end there for the visitors, as Emil Krafth and Fabian Schar are also ruled out while Joelinton is suspended.

Our Arsenal vs Newcastle Prediction
Newcastle United have been performing poorly in terms of results, but not much fault can be attached to their attacking form. The Magpies have scored in 18 straight matches across all competitions.
They are, however, not doing themselves much favor with conceding in almost all. Only one of their last 15 matches produced a clean sheet. That was against an off-form Chelsea. Arsenal are also scoring consistently, but their defensive shape seems to abandon them at the time of need. With that, our prediction for Arsenal v Newcastle United is: BTTS.

Arsenal wins
Arsenal may be struggling, but they aren’t doing as badly as Newcastle United. They will want to put that in practice and in the form of results here. The Gunners rarely lose this match at home, so we are backing them to win as our second prediction.
