The hosts currently sit at the foot of Group I, while the visitors are third. Israel are five points behind second-place Switzerland and cannot make the top two with just one game remaining. The visitors beat this opponent 2-1 in the reverse fixture and are clear favourites in this match.

The hosts lost their last match 1-0 to Belarus over the weekend, marking their fourth consecutive defeat. That was also the fifth match in a row that The Tricolours failed to score a single goal. While they are massive underdogs, the hosts will want to try to give their home fans something to cheer before bowing out of the competition.
