Ajax will host AEK Athens on Thursday seeking their first win in Group B of this season’s Europa League. The hosts arrive for this final group fixture bottom in their group while AEK are third. A first win for Ajax will also book their place in the playoff knockout rounds of the Conference League. They will be keen to achieve this to add positivity to a season that has turned difficult for them. The Dutch giants have struggled throughout the campaign and at one point were staring at relegation in the Eredivisie. They have since clawed their way out of that situation and will now hope to do the same here. Their current form will make them confident of this.
