Premier League Darts Final Night 2026: Littler, Clayton, Humphries & Price Head to the O2 Arena

Luke Littler Clear Favourite to Reclaim Premier League Title

Luke Littler will arrive at the O2 Arena as the clear favourite to win back the Premier League title, which he relinquished to Luke Humphries last year, but he will first have to get past the feisty Welshman Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals. Check out our Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price prediction. 

The Nuke ended the group stage at the top of the standings with 43 points, nine points clear of second-placed Jonny Clayton. He was the only player to surpass 100 180s (121) in the group phase, while maintaining the second-best three-dart average (99.93). 

The teenager racked up a record-equaling six nightly wins during the season, including three in the final five weeks of the group stage. However, the one aspect that he will need to improve heading to the O2 is his finishing, where he has converted 41.49% of his checkout attempts (third-best). 

Littler is the number-one-ranked player in the PDC Order of Merit and has already secured a handful of major titles this year, including the PDC World Darts Championship, World Masters, Poland Darts Open, UK Open, and the inaugural edition of the Saudi Darts Masters.

Luke Humphries Finding Form at the Perfect Time

While Littler may be viewed as the one to beat, you simply cannot overlook the reigning Premier League champion, as we discussed in detail in our Luke Humphries vs Jonny Clayton prediction. 

After a dismal start to the Premier League this year, Humphries has been the best player across the second half of the season, and surged to third place with 27 points, overtaking Price in the process, by reaching the finals in each of the last four weeks in the group stage. 

Cool Hand was the only player to maintain a three-dart average of over 100 (101.20) across the 16 weeks, which included 98 180s - the second-most in the competition. Indeed, his scoring has been his greatest strength in the Premier League this year. 

However, similar to Littler, Humphries’ closing has been below expectations, as he only converted 38.05% of his checkout attempts (148/389), which was the third-worst rate, only behind last-placed Josh Rock (30.60%) and Stephen Bunting (34.98%).

Gerwyn Price & Jonny Clayton - Welsh Duo Eyeing Upsets at the O2 

Despite the overwhelming support for the two Englishmen from the best online betting sites, it is certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton could find a way to make it an all-Welsh Premier League grand final. 

Price put up solid numbers for the majority of the season and ended the group stage with the second-best checkout rate of the eight participants, pinning 140/323 attempts at the outer ring. He averaged 98.51 (third-best) and recorded 82 maximums across the 16 weeks. 

However, while Gezzy won last month’s European Grand Prix (which Littler did not participate in), he ended the group stage of the Prem in worse form than any of the semi-finalists, picking up just four wins in the final seven weeks ahead of Finals night. 

The Ferret was hands down the best player across the first half of the 2026 Premier League season, reaching three of the first six nightly finals of the competition, and like Littler, booked his place in the Playoffs with a couple of weeks to spare. 

Clayton’s greatest strength has been his closing, as he ended the group stage with the best checkout rate (44.77). However, while he has the third-most 180s in the competition (88), his scoring has waned in the lead-up to this week, now averaging 97.55 - the lowest of the semi-finalists. 

Still, the oldest campaigner at the O2 this season knows what it takes to win this competition, having done so in 2021 when he thumped Jose de Sousa 11-5. He also has the psychological edge in the semis, thanks to his 6-5 victory over Humphries in their last encounter on April 9.
