After an eventful week in the Premier League, the English heavyweights will look to transform their European fortunes this week. Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all endured a tough start to life in Europe and are faced with some must win fixtures.

The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea need to win against Bayern and Kiev in order to keep their qualification hopes alive and the Manchester clubs will be hoping to make their way towards the top of their group.

Premier League Clubs

Dynamo Kiev – Chelsea

Chelsea secured a morale boosting 2-0 win against Aston Villa this weekend and Jose Mourinho will be hoping to build on that when his side travels to Ukraine to face Dynamo Kiev.

Chelsea are third in their group and will look to avoid another away loss which could jeopardize their qualification hopes.

Mourinho dropped several established players in the 2-0 win against Villa and the likes of Matic and Hazard could be benched once again in order to add defensive solidarity to the side. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ramires are expected to start once again and Baba Rahman should continue at left back.

Kyiv ended their 38 game unbeaten run in the league with a 3-0 loss against Shakhtar this week. The Ukrainians will be looking to bounce back with a statement win against a struggling Chelsea side.

In form wide players Willian and Yarmolenko will be the key for both sides.

Arsenal – Bayern Munich

Arsenal have a terrible home record against Bayern Munich. The German champions have emerged victorious in their last two trips to the Emirates and Guardiola will be hoping for a repeat.

After two defeats against Zagreb and Olympiakos, Arsenal are in trouble and in desperate need of a win. Another loss could well be the end for them in the Champions league this season.

Wenger will be boosted with the return of Gabriel and Giroud for Tuesday’s tie. Arsenal will need to continue their splendid league form when they take on the most in form side in Europe at the moment. Bayern have destroyed their opponents so far and Robert Lewandowski is in the form of his life.

Both sides prefer an attacking approach and this tie has all the makings of an epic encounter.

Over 2.5 goals: .

CSKA – Manchester United

Louis Van Gaal will be thrilled with the way his side have bounced back after the Arsenal defeat. A comfortable 3-0 win against Everton is just what they needed before a trip to Russia.

Manchester United will be hoping to move into top place in their group with a win against bottom placed CSKA.

This is the first time Manchester United are facing CSKA since they last met in 2009. Back then United secured a 1-0 win away from home and drew 3-3 at Old Trafford.

Van Gaal’s side are defensively outstanding and the Dutchman will be hoping that the attacking talent at his disposal will be able to make the difference should things get tight.

Under 2.5 goals: .

Manchester City – Sevilla

After a last gasp win against Borussia Monchengladbach, Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping to get closer to the top spot.

The Premier League leaders host Sevilla at Etihad in the midweek and the English side will look to exploit the inconsistent form of the Andalusians.

Unai Emery has struggled to fit in his new signings this season and too much rotation has left Sevilla with no cohesion.

Manchester city are third in their group level on points with Sevilla, who are second on goal difference.

Pellegrini is aware that his side could take a big step forward with a win on Wednesday and he will be hoping to carry on from where City left against Bournemouth.
