After a run to the last eight in Shanghai, eighth seed Zizou Bergs will hope to go well in Brussels. He begins with an all-Belgian match against wild card Raphael Collignon. Here's our match prediction.

We could see another match between two Belgians in round two of the European Open. That will happen if David Goffin wins his first round match against Francisco Comesana, both players being unseeded.

Zizou Bergs is at a career-high 39th in the live rankings. He's won 22 of his 38 hard court matches played this year.  One ATP Tour hard court final has been reached this year. That was in January's tournament in Auckland.

Out to cause an upset is Raphael Collignon who has had success this year but on the Challenger Tour. His last two tournaments have seen him win in Orleans (his second title of the year) and lose in the last four in Mouilleron-Le-Captif, where he was the top seed.

The 23-year-old has only reached the third round of one ATP Tour event this year. That was in August's US Open where he beat Casper Ruud (also recently beaten by Bergs) in round two before losing to Jiri Lehecka.
