Wolves vs Espanyol Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Wolverhampton Wanderers continue their marathon Europa League campaign. They host Espanyol in the first leg of this last 32 tie, the 13th game Wolves have played this season. They started playing in this competition in July and so far have won ten, draw one and lost one. Both of the games they didn't win were against Portugal's Sporting Braga. They made a slow start to their group losing at home to Braga but haven't looked back since. Wolves are currently seventh in the Premier League, the position that earned them their place in this competition. They drew their latest match 0-0 with Leicester City, that follows the same scoreline away at Manchester United. Wolves have only won one of their last nine league and cup games (an away win at Southampton) but five of their six Europa League home ties this season have been won.

Espanyol had better enjoy their time in the Europa League as they won't be in it next season. Surviving relegation is their main aim and they are currently bottom of La Liga, two points from safety. Only one of their last four league games has been lost with four points earned from their last two games. They had an important win over Mallorca and then drew 2-2 at Sevilla, though they did lead 2-1. Espanyol have also played 12 games to get to the knock-out stages. Only one of them has been lost (a home game to Lokomotiv Moscow) and won their group ahead of Ludogorets Razgrad. Six away games have produced four wins and two draws. Five out of their last seven in La Liga have been lost though and the tip here is for a narrow home win.
