Newly promoted Smolevichi are in 12th position after their first two games in the Belarus Premier League. They are still looking for their first win and travel to Vitebsk who are a place and two points above them. Vibetsk finished just one point above the relegation zone last season. They lost their last four league matches but survived a play-off match by a single point. This season began with a 1-0 home win over Gorodeya, thanks to an own goal by their opponents. Vitebsk didn't fare so well in their second league game losing 2-0 away at Neman Grondo. Of their last 11 league games, only a 2-1 home loss to BATE Borisov has seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Smolevichi finished second in the First Division last season and won promotion to the top flight. They had a tough start on their return to the Belarus Premier League as they traveled to defending champions Dinamo Brest. However, they took a surprise lead before being pegged back in the second half and drawing the game. They followed that up with an away game at Isloch Minsk and lost that one 1-0 to a goal scored in the ninth minute. Neither side are in good scoring form and a bet on under 2.5 goals scored in the game can be a winning one.
