The Utah Jazz will hope to end their current slump when they host the in-form LA Lakers next in the NBA. Two and a half games separate the two teams in the Western Conference with the ninth-placed Lakers having the advantage over 11th-placed Utah. The Utah Jazz are in a slump at the moment and have managed just two wins over their last seven outings. They arrive for this game on a two-match losing run and this has seen them drop two games below .500. Will Hardy’s men were blown out last time out at home by the Warriors who won 129-107. But as they defeated the Lakers the last time they were in town, they will be confident of a win here. Otto Porter Jr. is questionable for this game which means he could have to wait a bit longer to make his debut for the Jazz. The Jazz are averaging 117.6 points a night.

The Lakers are in splendid form at the moment and come to this game having won five of their last six matches. They also have a fully fit LeBron James and Anthony Davis available. The two have been playing through injury and it is a rare sight seeing them not included in the injury report. Darvin Ham’s men, who are now three games above .500, are coming off a 125-111 victory over the Pistons. LA won the first matchup of the season with Utah at home in emphatic fashion. A second victory here will see them take this regular season series. Despite Davis and James being passed fit, LA still have some injury concerns and will be without four players here. Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt, Cam Reddish and Max Cristie have all been ruled out.
