Utah Jazz look to strenghten their position at the top of the Western Conference Northwest Division. They have an 8-3 season record and host the Indiana Pacers who are a disappointing 4-8. Utah have a one game lead over the Denver Nuggets and overall, they are second in the Western Conference, a couple of victories behind the Golden State Warriors. They made a storming start to the new season, winning seven of their last eight games. Then their record was damaged by two successive losses at Miami and Orlando, though only by an aggregate margin of ten points. Utah bounced back to form with a 12 point home win against Atlanta. That took their home record this season to 4-0 and they will be confident of making it five straight wins with a win over Indiana.

The Pacers are one from bottom in the Central Division of Eastern Conference with only four wins this season. Only Orlando and Detroit are below them in the overall Eastern Conference table. They are only two wins behind the final play-in position but need to improve their performances on the road. Only one of seven away fixtures has been won this season. The first five were all lost before they won at Sacramento by three points on November 7 but followed that with a defeat at Denver three days later. Back Utah to get the win here on a -10 spread.
