FC Twente are in a two-horse race with AZ Alkmaar to secure a top-five finish this season in the Eredivisie. It is a significant downgrade from last season's third-place finish. 

The Tukkers are in high spirits after disrupting FC Utrecht's momentum and prospects of a top-three finish on Sunday. They secured a comfortable 2-0 home league win. Michel Vlap and Daan Rots were on target for the hosts.
