After an opening away win in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Turkey will be back at home on Match Day 2 of Group D to host Croatia in a very important game in this group. The hosts go into this game leading the group on three points while Croatia have one, in third place. Turkey beat Armenia 2-1 away from home for their third straight win but they are still struggling defensively. The home team has failed to keep a clean sheet in the last five matches, but this has been compensated for with a good scoring run. Both teams have scored in four of Croatia’s last five matches, and they have failed to score in one. Without a clean sheet in five matches, Croatia will have the defence as the weak link to address.
