Tottenham vs Sheffield United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

When the fixture list was announced, Tottenham would not have expected to be below Sheffield United when playing this game. That's what has happened though with United in sixth, three points and five places above Tottenham. The home side find themselves starting the weekend ten points behind the final Champions League qualifying place. They might have to win the Champions League to be in it next season. They have gone four league games without a win since beating Southampton at home in late September. Home form has been solid (it needs to be with their woeful away record) with three wins, a draw and loss to Newcastle United. The fact that Newcastle and Watford have taken four points at Tottenham, shows the worrying form of the home side. 

Sheffield United were expected by many to struggle as they made their return to the Premier League. They may well slip down the table in the months ahead but they already have 16 points and another 20 or so should guarantee them survival. United are unbeaten in their last four league games since an unlucky home loss to Liverpool. They have lost three league games this season (two being to sides in the top three) but all were lost at home. The Blades are yet to lose an away league match this season, though only one game has been won, a 2-0 win at Everton. The other four games have all been drawn and only one of their away league matches has seen over 2.5 goals scored. Tottenham had a long European trip in midweek and that might take something out of them. A bet on under 2.5 goals in this game is the suggested wager.
