Tottenham return to Premier League action and it’s against a former club of Jose Mourinho. Spurs are eight in the table and desperately need to get a home win over fifth placed Manchester United. The home side find themselves seven points adrift of the top four and four behind their opponents. March wasn’t good for them and by the time the league was suspended, Spurs had just one point from their last three league games. They also found themselves knocked out of both the FA Cup and Champions League. Now they can concentrate on the league and somehow qualifying for Europe. Not getting into the Champions League would be a major step backwards for them. It wouldn’t do their finances any good either. Home form has seen them win eight out of 14 in the Premier League but two of the last four have been lost. They will hope to have Harry Kane firing again but face a tough battle in this game.

Manchester United are only three points behind fourth placed Chelsea. Their last five league games have produced 11 points with no losses. Defensively United have made big improvements with nine clean sheets in their last 11 league and cup games. They are still in the FA Cup and Europa League, so it’s going to be a busy time for them. The return of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford will help them. Away form is still a problem for them in the Premier League with only four wins this season and a negative goal difference. Their last six have all had under 2.5 goals and that’s the tip for this match.
