North London side Tottenham Hotspur has had tough moments in recent league matches and will be desperate to stop the bad run when they welcome Burnley. Spurs go to this game placed ninth on 36 points while Burnley have 28 points, in 15th place. In the first week of December, Tottenham beat Arsenal and went top of the league, but 13 matches later, they’re closer to the bottom half after seven losses. However, their low-lying block defending strategy has worked well, keeping scores low in their matches and trust Sean Dyche to have a plan for handling Spurs forwards. While they have scored more than once in just one of the last six league matches, Burnley have conceded twice in just one of the last five in the league. They head here with one win in the last seven matches across all competitions, but are unbeaten in four league games, with two clean sheets therein. Burnley lost 1-0 in the October meeting between these two sides, that being the fifth time in seven meetings that the teams’ meetings have ended in under 2.5 goals.
