Tomas Martin Etcheverry upsetting Andrey Rublev at ATP Halle didn’t capture many headlines like Jannik Sinner’s elimination. The Argentine has booked himself a quarter-final match against Karen Khachanov. We have the prediction as the two go head-to-head for the second time.

Etcheverry went into his clash with Rublev as the clear underdog, but with a 6-3 win in the first set, he set the tone, and the next two needed tiebreakers. In the end it was a solid showing from the Argentine.

He will go into the next game still as the underdog, having posted two wins only in the last five matches. On grass, the Argentine lost six of the last 10.

Khachanov doesn’t come here with the best of runs but carries the feel of the favorite. The Russian is coming from a win in three sets against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the second round.

In this match he'll be targeting three straight wins for the first time since April in Barcelona. His record for the season is still shaky, at 17-14, but with Sinner out, Khachanov should feel he can go all the way to win a first title on grass.
