The Texas Rangers will look to close out the Baltimore Orioles when the two teams face off for game three of the ALDS. The Rangers were able to pull off two excellent wins on the road in games one and two to go up 2-0 in this best-of-five series. They now have two games in front of the home fans at Globe Life Park before heading back to Baltimore for game five if necessary. Texas lost out on the top spot in the AL West on the final day to the Houston Astros despite each finishing with a 90-72 record. The Rangers thus had to compete in the Wild Card round where they cruised past the Rays with back-to-back wins. They now come into this close out game in fine form with four wins on the trot. Nathan Eovaldi gets the start for the Rangers and finished the regular season with a 12-5 record, 3.63 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. 

It’s been a historic season for the Orioles who posted their best record (101-61) since the 1979 season. They finished as the AL’s best team and were a side that many were tipping for the World Series. However, they now find themselves in an extremely difficult spot, needing to win three straight and having the next two on the road. Game two saw the AL East winners give up 11 runs in an 11-8 loss, the most they’ve allowed in their last 23 games. A saving grace for Baltimore might be their excellent results this season as the away team. The Os racked up the co-best away record in the MLB with 52 wins and only 29 defeats. They come into this win-or-go-home situation on a three game losing streak overall. The Orioles will go with Dean Kremer on Tuesday night with the 27-year-old posting a 12-5 record, 4.12 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in the regular season.
