Sunderland vs Leicester Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Sunderland face Leicester in the Championship on Tuesday night (kick off 7.45pm) with both teams struggling at the moment. The Black Cats have lost all their last four games and have tumbled out of contention for the playoffs as a result, dropping down to 10th in the table. A lack of goals hasn't helped as since their 3-1 win over Plymouth on the 10th February, they have scored just two goals in their next four games, conceding 6. Worryingly, three of those defeats have come against teams in the bottom half of the table (Huddersfield, Birmingham City and Swansea) with only the 1-0 loss at Norwich this past weekend being against a top 10 team in the division. Mike Dodds will continue in a caretaker manager capacity for the Black Cats after the sacking of Michael Beale back on the 19th February after just two months in charge. 

For Leicester City fans, they have seen their once seemingly unassailable lead at the top of the Championship cut to just three points as the Foxes have lost all their last three games.  A surprise 1-2 home defeat to Middlesbrough, was followed by a 3-1 loss away to Leeds United. City did win their FA Cup tie with Bournemouth, earning a quarterfinal tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a couple of weeks time, but at the weekend, they dominated the game with QPR, but somehow contrived to lose the game 2-1, the visitors scoring with both of their shots on target while Leicester enjoyed almost 75% of the possession in the game. Enzo Maresca will know that his team have to turn this losing run around, but if they can be a little more clinical in front of goal, they should do that sooner rather than later.
