A slot in next season’s Europa League is achievable for Strasbourg and this will guide their strategy for their next game, when they host Clermont in Ligue 1. Strasbourg go into this game in fifth place with 60 points while Clermont come into it with 36 points. The hosts have managed just two wins in their last five matches but their only loss in 14 matches was against Lille. They are currently in the Europa Conference League slot and mathematically, they can rise to third, the Champions League qualifiers slot but realistically, targeting the Europa League makes more sense. With just one clean sheet in five matches, Strasbourg know where to improve on, as they look to build on a run that has seen them fail to score in just one of their last five matches. At home, Strasbourg have had a dominant run; they are unbeaten in the last eight matches, winning five.
