In-form Alexander Bublik will take on top seed Jannik Sinner next at the US Open, hoping to maintain his hot streak. Their third meeting of the year is also their second at a major this season. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

Jannik Sinner has been in great form in his title defence in New York and, after three rounds, has lost just one set. The Italian, who won the second of his four Grand Slam titles in last year’s championships, defeated Denis Shapovalov in the last round.

He surprisingly lost the opening set but recovered to win in four and stretch his winning streak at Flushing Meadows to 10 matches. Sinner, who has dropped to second in the live ranking, has compiled a dominant 34-4 record.

Alexander Bublik handed Sinner one of his four losses of the year when he won on grass in Halle. That three-set victory in the second round inspired the Kazakh to go on and be crowned champion at the Terra Wortmann Open.

Bublik has been in incredible form this year. Currently on an 11-match winning streak, the 28-year-old arrived in New York after winning back-to-back titles in Gstaad and Kitzbuhel.

He has won 38 matches in 2025 and is now up to 17th in the live ranking. To set up this latest showdown with Sinner, Bublik outlasted Tommy Paul after an intense five-set battle.
