Sheffield United welcomes Sunderland to Bramall Lane for this fourth round encounter in the Championship. The home team will be disappointed with their 2-2 draw away to Middlesbrough especially as they led twice only to settle for the share of the points. The visitors sit in a very respectable sixth position on the table, with a victory in this match taking them to within one point of the leaders. Sunderland had an extended pre-season playing seven matches, winning three and losing three with one draw. They have struggled in their away matches with just two wins in their last eight matches on the road.
