Shakhtar Donetsk top this Champions League group with a two point lead. They are the only side in the group to have won a match and host Borussia Monchengladbach who are second with two points. A win for Shakhtar would take them to seven points with three games remaining and in with a great chance of reaching the knock-out stages. Their campaign began with that stunning 3-2 away win at Real Madrid. They followed that with a home 0-0 draw with Inter and now play Monchengladbach home and away. The weekend saw them win 4-1 at home in their domestic league, taking their unbeaten run to nine matches. Home form is a puzzle though. They have only lost one competitive game in the past 11 months, a Super Cup defeat by Dynamo Kiev. However, they have failed to win any of their last seven home games in this competition. Four of those games have been drawn with both teams scoring in three of the seven played.

Borussia Monchengladbach are in the Champions League for the first time in five years. They have started the group well with two draws against Inter Milan and Real Madrid. Away to Inter, they came from behind to lead 2-1, only for Lukaku to score an equalizer in the 90th minute. Their home game against Real Madrid looked certain to provide a win as they led 2-0 going into the 87th minute. Amazingly, Real fought back to escape with a 2-2 draw. In a tight group, the concession of those late goals may prove very costly. The weekend saw them beat RB Leipzig 1-0 at home taking them to fourth in the Bundesliga table. Only one of their last four away games in this competition has been won, but they've scored at least twice in four of the last six. A bet on both Shakhtar and Monchengladbach to score is the tip for this crucial game.
