We wrap up Saturday’s 2026 Volleyball Nations League action with Serbia taking on Germany. Four of the last five VNL matches between these sides have gone beyond three sets, which sees us leaning toward the points market for our prediction in this one. 

After losing their opening match of Week 3 in the 2026 VNL, Serbia notched up a much-needed 3-1 victory over Ukraine on Thursday to move two places below the final round qualification cutoff. 

Veljko Mašulović was the standout performer in that victory with 26 points. The 22-year-old attacker is now just four points behind Lazar Marinović (112), who is the team’s top scorer in the competition. 

Serbia have lost nine of their last 15 matches across all competitions, as well as their last two encounters against this opponent in this tournament. 

Meanwhile, Week 3 has started poorly for Germany. They enter this match following back-to-back losses to Slovenia and Iran and are now 12th in the standings with two games to go. 

Erik Röhrs added another 23 points to his tally in this competition in the last match. The 25-year-old outside hitter is now on 136 points in total and is 12th in the tournament’s top scorer standings.
