Top seeds TNT are 1-1 after two very close PBA Cup semi-final games with the San Miguel Beermen. This is a best-of-seven series and the winners will take on either Magnolia Hotshots or Meralco Bolts with the Hotshots 2-0 up so far. TNT finished top of the elimination round with only one defeat in their ten games. That sole loss just happened to be against the Beermen and by 16 points. It's been a lot closer in this semi-final so far though. TNT easily beat Barangay Ginebra in the last eight, while the Beermen (7-4 in the ellmination round) beat Northport 2-0. The first match of this semi-final saw TNT win but only by a single point. They were a point up at half-time and went well ahead in the third quarter, winning it by ten points. The Beermen won the final quarter by the same margin but ended up a point down. They did better in the second match and won it by two points. That didn't look at all likely as they were down by 15 going into the final quarter. San Miguel again dominated the final quarter winning it 31-14 to level the match. Romeo was in top form and the tip here is to go for San Miguel.
