They come to this game as the bottom-placed team out in the Western Conference while the Knicks are third in the East. The Spurs have seen a spike in form recently and arrive here having won their last two matches. It has been extremely rare for them to win successive games this season. It is only the fourth time they have won back-to-back matches. Greg Popovich’s men, who are playing for pride now, will seek to win three in a row for the first time. The Spurs were among the first teams to be eliminated from playoff contention. Their 17-56 record is currently the third-worst record thus far.
