The Sacramento Kings are fourth in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. Their opponents, the Chicago Bulls are in the same position in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. Both sides have a fight on their hands to get into postseason. The Bulls lie 12th overall in the Eastern Conference, a couple of wins behind Orlando Magic. Aa for the Kings, they are in ninth, one position behind the final qualifying position that's in the hands of the Phoenix Suns. A win in this game would be a boost for Sacramento who have an 8-10 season record at present; It's 13 seasons since the Kings reached the play-offs, that's the longest drought in the NBA. A win here though will boost their chances of ditching that unwanted statistic. They come into this game having won two and lost two of their last four games, though three were played on the road (they are 3-7 on their travels).  The Kings saw their season get off to a terrible start going 0-5 in October but then won four of the next five. Home form is good though and November saw them win all five, a big improvement after losing their first three home matches.

Chicago Bulls are 6-14 for the season and a play-off place isn't looking that likely. November wasn't as successful for them as it was for their opponents. They only won five of their 15 matches played and on the road had two wins and four losses. That made it three wins out of ten in away matches this season. The Bulls have lost each of their last three games with only two in the last nine. Everything points to the Kings getting a welcome win here to boost those play-off chances.
