Match two of day two at the 2025 Darts World Grand Prix will see Ross Smith taking on Daryl Gurney on Tuesday evening. Smudger is ranked 12th, while SuperChin is 26th, according to the PDC World Rankings as of the cut-off date. Let’s get into the match prediction!
Ross Smith has been a consistent figure at the World Grand Prix in recent years, but he has not been able to get beyond the last 16 of the competition (exited at that stage in each of the last four editions).
In 2025, Smudger has clinched two Player Championship titles - PC29 and PC16 - with the latter being one of his greatest performances as he pinned two nine-darters en route to the trophy.
After beating Josh Rock in the PC29 final, Smith suffered a first-round elimination at PC30 last week but still has an impressive 8-2 record in his last 10 matches.
Meanwhile, Daryl Gurney is set to feature in his 12th World Grand Prix this year and won the tournament in 2017, though he has suffered early eliminations since that triumph.
SuperChin has not won a major individual title this year, but he did partner Josh Rock to the World Cup of Darts title, where they beat the fancied Wales team of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.
Gurney bowed out in round two of the PC30 competition last week and holds a record of five wins and five defeats in his last 10 matches.
