The penultimate match of the first round at the 2025 Darts World Grand Prix on Tuesday evening sees Peter Wright locking horns with Mike De Decker. Snakebite is ranked 16th, while the Real Deal is 20th, according to the PDC World Rankings as of the cut-off date. Let’s get into the match prediction!
Peter Wright’s 2024 Darts World Grand Prix campaign ended in the first round when he was ousted by James Wade. He has reached the final of this competition only once (2018), where he lost to Michael van Gerwen.
Snakebite has had a fairly disappointing year, still in search of a major title. However, he did beat Luke Humphries in the fourth round of the World Darts Championship before losing to Stephen Bunting in the quarters.
Wright has failed to get beyond the second round of any of his last 10 tournaments and has just two wins in his last 10 matches.
Meanwhile, Mike De Decker announced himself as a serious contender on the Pro Tour last year when he pulled off a massive upset to win the 2024 Darts World Grand Prix.
However, this year has been tough for the Real Deal, as he has yet to win a major title. His best performance was reaching the final of the Australian Darts Masters back in August.
De Decker reached the fourth round of both the PC29 and PC30 tournaments last week and has eight wins and just two defeats in his last 10 matches across all competitions.
