Norway have disappointed at the 2024 European Handball tournament. Their hopes of reaching the last four of the competition are already all but gone, with only 2 days left in the main round. After three matches without success in this Euro, the Norwegian national team was nevertheless able to finally snap out of their slump with a 35-32 win over the Netherlands. However, it’s difficult to imagine them continuing in the same vein when they meet the Euro’s big favorites in Denmark on Sunday. The Danes have left their opponents with little to play for since the start of the tournament and they have yet to hit a snag.

Denmark have beaten the Czech Republic (23-14), Greece (40-28), Portugal (37-27), the Netherlands (39-27) and most recently Sweden (28-27). They are already close to punching their ticket to the final four of the competition. Not only will they be looking to confirm their spot in the semi-final, they’ll also be looking to lock up their position as Group 2 leaders after this match. They’ll be hoping to do so in a dominant fashion with this presenting a good opportunity to continue building up their confidence even further.
