Nigeria produced one of the best performances at the ongoing AFCON 2021 as they beat. Egypt in their opening game, and they’ll be hoping to book their place in the second round when they face Sudan in the second game. Nigeria go to the game sitting top of Group D with three points while Sudan have one point. Nigeria go to this game with a four game unbeaten run, having won three of those with clean sheets. They have a good run in AFCON matches, having gotten to the semis in the last edition. They go to this one with eight wins in the last 10 matches at the AFCON finals. In the last edition, they lost a game to minnows Madagascar and will be hoping it doesn’t happen again here.
Sudan go into this game on a very poor run; they were eliminated early in the Arab Cup and after their 0-0 draw with Guinea-Bissau, they have gone winless in the last 12 matches. In eight of their last 12 matches, Sudan have failed to score and they go to this game with just two goals in the last five matches. The two goals came in a 3-2 loss to Ethiopia in a friendly match ahead of this competition. Three of their last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals and going by the low goals return in this competition, we may be heading to another low scoring match here. This is only the third time Sudan take part in the AFCON; they are returning for the first time since 2012. In eight AFCON matches, they’ve managed one win and five losses.

Our Nigeria vs Sudan Prediction
Sudan are not in very impressive form; they are winless in their last 12 matches and have failed to score in eight of those. The team they face is one very complete side from defence to attack and Sudan will have to be at their best. Given Nigeria’s form, we will back them to win both halves here.
