Newcastle vs West Ham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Midweek saw both of these clubs get impressive wins in the Premier League. Newcastle United are now 13th in the table and host West Ham United who moved up to 16th after beating Chelsea. Steve Bruce will have been delighted with how his team won 4-1 at Bournemouth, though their opponents are on their way back to the Championship. United had gone six away league games without a win but have now won their last two on the road. Home form has been good too with an unbeaten run of five in the Premier League. In those five matches, only Aston Villa have been able to put a goal past them. They are 13th but still in with a chance of European football next season. Seventh could see a team qualify for the Europa League and Newcastle are only five points behind that position. 32 league games have only produced 33 goals but that problem is easing with eitght scored in the last three. 

West Ham United trailed Chelsea on Wednesday evening but managed to get a 3-2 win with a last-gasp goal. That was an alnighty important three points for the Hammers who had lost their last three league games. The victory took them three points clear of the bottom three and with a better goal difference. They aren't out of trouble yet though and their away form is a major concern. West Ham have yet to pick up an away point this year. The last seven away league games have all been lost with the last win on the road being in mid-December. They have only scored in one of their last four away games. Five of their last seven games against Newcastle have been lost and another defeat looks likely here.
