Napoli have stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to 12 points. They bid to maintain or even increase that points gap with a home match against fifth placed Roma. The Serie A leaders haven't got a league and cup double to aim for after recently losing at Cremonense in the Coppa Italia. A weakened line-up was played in that game and Napoli bounced back from that loss with a 3-0 win at Salernitana last weekend. With Milan losing 4-0 at Lazio and Juventus docked 15 points, it was a big week for the team from Naples. They are yet to lose a home league game this season with eight wins and a draw. Only Lecce have come away from Napoli with a point and since that draw in August, seven league games have been won with at least two goals scored in each of the last six. Only seven home league goals have been conceded by Napoli this season.

Roma are battling it out for a place in next season's Champions League. They are only out of the top four on goal difference and just a point behind second placed Milan.but 13 adrift of their opponents. Roma are without a loss in their last seven league and cup games. A form guide for the last five Serie A fixtures has them just a point behind Napoli. Just one away league match has been lost this season, that was a 4-0 loss at Udinese last September. Only one of their last three away games in Serie A has been won. They nearly lost another game on the road, drawing 2-2 at Milan thanks to two late goals. Their last four league visits to Napoli have only produced a couple of points. Back Napoli to win this.
