The Minnesota Timberwolves will be at home to welcome the Orlando Magic next in the NBA. Minnesota is top of the Western Conference standings while the Magic are eighth in the East. The Timberwolves are in a rich vein of form and come to this match having won four of their last five games. They are coming off a blowout victory over the Mavericks and won by 34 points to register their 34th win of the season. Chris Finch’s men also produced a huge win in the reverse match in Orlando where they won by 21 points. This was three weeks ago and they will be confident of another win here to secure the season series. Minnesota is a below-average scoring team and is ranked 22nd in this regard. Their number one ranked defence however is what gives them the edge. Jaylen Clark is ruled out for this match due to an Achilles injury.

The Orlando Magic are battling with inconsistency. Jamahl Mosley’s men have won just four of their last 12 games and have dropped out of the automatic playoff places. Two of their wins however have come in their last three outings and they are coming off a victory. They defeated the lowly San Antonio Spurs 108-99 as they continued their five-game road trip in the West. Orlando are also a below-average scoring team and their 111.6 points a game has them ranked 25th in the league. Gary Harris will continue to be sidelined and will not suit up for this game. The Magic have also relied heavily on their fifth-ranked defence to win games which means that this match could see a low-scoring outcome.
