It's been a strange season for Atletico Madrid but one that should end with glory as they take on Marseilles in the final of the Europa League. The season began with them hoping for another deep run in the Champions League after two recent losses in the final and a semi-final. However, they failed to get out of their group finishing behind Roma and Chelsea and being moved into the Europa League. They have performed strongly since the transfer only losing one game. Their defence has been hard to crack, especially at home and Marseilles will be glad this isn't a two-legged final. Atletico have the experience to win this though in what is looking like the last season they will have Antoine Griezmann who seems to be on his way to Barcelona in the summer.

25 years ago Marseilles became champions of Europe and they try to relive those glory days in this final. At least the final is being held in France but Marseille are under pressure in the French league after only drawing at the weekend despite being 2-0 up after 14 minutes. That leaves them having to win their final league game to have any chance of a Champions League place next season, unless of course they win this match. Marseille don't quite have the tight defence their opponents possess and seven of their last eight games have seen both teams score. It's not been an easy road to this final with five defeats so far this season and they have only won one of their last ten away Europa League games. Go for Atletico to get the win in this final.
