Marie Bouzkova, the 21st seed at Wimbledon, looks to extend her winning streak when she takes on 25th seed Elise Mertens. They face off in the fourth round, meeting for the second time this season. Bouzkova’s nine wins in 10 matches make her the pick in our prediction.

Bouzkova comes into this match in top form. The Czech star has lost just once in 10 grass outings and is on an eight-match winning streak. Arriving at the All England Club after winning the Nottingham Open, Bouzkova has gone from strength to strength.

Competing in the second week at Wimbledon for a third time, the 27-year-old will be hoping to progress past the quarter-finals for the first time. Bouzkova, up to 21st in the live ranking, defeated Liudmila Samsonova in three sets.

Mertens defeated Bouzkova when they met earlier this season in Dubai. She won in straight sets and will look to that performance to build up her confidence even further.

Mertens is coming off a surprise victory over second seed and former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. The Belgian had lost six straight meetings with Rybakina but did not show reluctance here as she won in straight sets.

That win, her sixth on grass this season, saw her equal last season’s fourth-round finish at this major. Mertens, who has never won a round of 16 tie at Wimbledon, is now up to 25th in the live ranking.
