The major injury news around the Man City camp has involved Erling Haaland and Phil Foden. Foden is set to miss out on this one with the 22-year-old having undergone an operation for appendicitis. Haaland’s status, on the other hand, is much more up in the air after picking up a groin injury in the FA Cup win over Burnley. The Premier League leading scorer was initially called up to the Norway squad for their two Euro 2024 qualifying matches but later had to withdraw. Haaland was receiving treatment in Spain and reports are that it is going to be “touch and go” until kickoff in for match between City and Liverpool.
