Luciano Darderi vs Dalibor Svrcina Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

Luciano Darderi is bidding to reach round three of the outdoor hard court US Open for the second successive year. He takes on qualifier Dalibor Svrcina who is playing in the main draw of this Grand Slam for the first time. Darderi is over 110 places above his opponent in the rankings and our prediction is he will win.

The winner will take on either 13th seed Lorenzo Musetti or wild card Dale Sweeny in the third round.

It's been a good week or so for Svrcina. The world number 134 had failed to qualify for 11 of the past 13 Grand Slam events on all surfaces. In the US Open, he'd never made it past the first qualifying round in two previous visits. This year went much better, though he had to come from behind to win in the final qualifying round.

His US Open main draw debut saw him beat Valentin Royer in five sets, after leading 2-0.

These two players met in Los Cabos last month. Svrcina won that match, but only after Darderi retired after just three games.

Luciano Darderi made it to round four of the Australian Open this year, the only other Grand Slam played on outdoor hard courts.

He beat qualifier Harry Wendelken in four sets in the first round.
