A Western Conference matchup in the NBA sees the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Memphis Grizzlies at the Crypto.com Arena in Tinseltown. Both teams come into this matchup without their primary star player as the Grizzlies will be without point-guard Ja Morant and the Lakers will be missing all-time NBA leading scorer LeBron James. The Lakers are still chasing a spot in the playoffs as they currently sit 11th in the West with a record of 31 wins and 34 losses. This has them even with the 10th-place Blazers which would grant them a spot in the play-in tournament and a chance at making the postseason. The Lakers have barely kept their heads above water at home this season as they sport a record of 16 wins and 15 losses on their home court. Their last outing resulted in a 113-105 win against Golden State with Anthony Davis leading the way, putting up an impressive 39 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The Grizzlies proved last season that they can win without their all-star point guard Ja Morant, posting an incredible 20-5 record without the 23-year-old. However, this season has been somewhat of a different story as Memphis is just 4-6 without Morant. The Grizzlies are coming off a 135-129 defeat against the LA Clippers and will close out a four game road trip by playing the other half of Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The Grizzlies are 1-2 on this current away stretch of games and lost the first game without Morant as he serves his suspension after apparently flashing a gun on a livestream following the teams loss to Denver. Memphis will also be without center Steven Adams who has proven to be integral to the Grizzlies success. The visitors are just 10-11 without Adams in the lineup this season.
