The LA Clippers will host the Philadelphia 76ers in their next NBA fixture. LA are currently fourth in the Western Conference while the Sixers are eighth in the East. The Clippers have won their last two matches which were in a back-to-back with the Blazers. This has allowed them to tighten their grip on fourth place after a difficult run of games. Before the two wins, Ty Lue’s men had managed just one win in five outings. They are now 1.5 games clear of their closest challengers and have compiled a 44-25 record. P.J. Tucker and Norman Powell are questionable for this game while Russell Westbrook remains sidelined with a hand issue. The Clippers have averaged 116.1 points when at home this season.

The Sixers are battling to avoid the play-in and qualify for the playoffs automatically. Nick Nurse’s men are half a game from the top six. They have struggled since reigning MVP Joel Embiid went down with a knee injury back in January. Philly were heavy favourites for at the very least a top-six finish before Embiid was sidelined. With the centre, they had won 26 of 34 games but in his absence, they have managed just 12 wins in 36 fixtures. This game could yet be another setback for them. The Sixers have lost their last two matches with the more recent defeat coming to the Clippers' city rivals the Lakers. Playing their second match of a four-game road trip to the West, Philly were undone 101-94. Kai Jones is questionable here while Robert Covington and De’Anthony Melton remain sidelined. The Sixers have averaged 112.9 points on the road this season.
