The LA Clippers will be at home to welcome their city rivals the Lakers for their next NBA regular season assignment. Both teams have had contrasting results in the Western Conference where at the moment the Clippers are fourth and the Lakers ninth. The Clippers have been one of the form teams this season and have so far won 27 matches. Ty Lue’s men, who have won 10 of their last 12 games, are now just two games off the pace in the West. They arrive for this match having won their last two fixtures with the latest being a 125-114 victory over the Nets. The Clippers have lost both matchups with the Lakers this season. Before the two defeats, LA had won 11 straight in this fixture. A third loss here will see the Lakers take the series. The Clippers are ranked in the top 10 for both offence and defence and are averaging 117.8 a night. Ivica Zubac has been ruled out for this match.

The Lakers have seen an upturn in form lately after a difficult end to last year and start to 2024. They however are still plagued by a lack of consistency. Darvin Ham’s men have won five of their last eight games and are coming off a blowout victory. They won by 24 against the Blazers at home last time out after tallying 134 points. Their 22nd victory of the season allowed them to get back to .500. and right back into the playoff picture. They however could easily drop right off again with a loss here. LA, who have won both matchups with their city rivals this season, will be without LeBron James here. James leads the team in two categories and is averaging 24.8 points. Last time out against the Clippers, he led all other scorers and tallied 25 points. Gabe Vincent is also out while Taurean Prince has been listed as ‘Questionable’.
