Liverpool won again at the weekend, though their second half performance had fans a bit worried. They are clear at the top of the table and host Everton who are down in 17th place after letting slip a 1-0 lead at Leicester. Liverpool have an eight point lead over Leicester (it'd have been more if Everton had hung on) and look to maintain their unbeaten run of 47 home league games without a defeat. They have won all seven of their home league games this season. That's 21 points earned which just happens to be seven more than their opponents have earned from all their league games this season. Liverpool have an awesome record against their opponents. They have gone 19 matches without defeat against Everton and not lost to them at home in 20 years. That looks like a record that will continue in this game.

The big question for Everton is who will manage them in this game. The loss at Leicester deepened the crisis they are in and by the time this game begins, Marco Silva could well have been sacked. If he survives, then another poor result at Anfield might get him removed from his job. Everton have already lost eight league games this season, only Norwich have lost more. After all the signings that the club made during the summer, being one place and two points is not what they were expecting. Away form is poor with just four points from seven games with the only win coming against Southampton who are in the bottom three. Liverpool can be backed to win this and be ahead at both half and full time.
