Linda Noskova’s title defence at the WTA Monterrey is well on course, as she set up a second-round meeting with Tatjana Maria. This match will mark the first-ever meetup between the two, and the winner will face Ajla Tomljanovic or Ekaterina Alexandrova. Let’s have a look at the prediction.

Noskova, the sixth seed, is looking to be the fourth player to win back-to-back Monterrey titles. She overcame New Zealander Lulu Sun in her last outing but had to sweat it out, with tiebreakers in both sets.

The German has progressed in four of her last nine second-round matches. However, in her last four events, she failed to win more than a match, and she’s never gone past the second round in six appearances here.
