Leipzig vs Atletico Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

RB Leipzig bid to make it into the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time. They take on Atletico Madrid who are no strangers to reaching the final of this competition but are yet to win it. Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga so will again be in the Champions League next season (though the 2020/21 competition has already started!). They could have pipped Borussia Dortmund for second but finished three points behind them after only earning four points from their final three games. Their league season ended on June 27 and since then, they've just had a friendly against Wolfsburg that ended 1-1. In the Champions League this season, Leipzig finished top of Group G, three points ahead of Lyon, who they could yet meet in the final. The last sixteen saw them beat Tottenham 4-0 on aggregate, though the Londoners were going through a bad patch at that time. 

Atletico Madrid also finished third in their domestic league and come into this game on an unbeaten run of 18 league and cup games. Their last loss was in February when being defeated away at Real Madrid. They finished second in the group stages, six points behind Juventus and that gave them a last sixteen tie against defending champions Liverpool. That was a tough draw but they won 1-0 at home in the first leg and even more impressively, 3-2 in the second leg at Anfield. That was the only game Liverpool lost at home all season. Atletico have tons of experience of going deep in this competition and are in the weaker half of the draw. Only Leipzig and the winners of Atalanta v PSG stand between them and another final. Not that easy but better than the other half. They will go into this game as favourites but this looks a tight match. Go for under 2.5 goals to be scored.
