Leicester vs Southampton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

A win for Leicester City over Southampton could see them go second in the Premier League. They host Southampton on Saturday with the southerners seventh at the time of writing this preview. Leicester are only a point behind second-placed Liverpool and four behind league leaders Manchester United. Those two sides don't play until Sunday, so this is a chance for City to put pressure on the top two. They are unbeaten in their last four league games, two being won and the others drawn. Home form has been a bit of a problem for them this season. They have won three out of eight but lost four. Better home form would have seen them top of the table now. There has been slight improvement though with four points from their last three at home witht the last win being a 3-0 win over struggling Brighton. A 2-2 draw with Manchester United in their last home league fixture shows they might be going the right way now, though they had to come from behind twice to get that point. With only one loss in their last nine league and cup games, City are proving difficult to beat.

Southampton are only seventh but a win here will take them level on points with Leicester. They had an impressive win over Liverpool in their last league match and only the two Manchester clubs have beaten them in their last 15 league fixtures. A few more goals would be handy in the future. They have only scored two in their last five league games with Danny Ings yet to score since returing from injury. At the other end though, Southampton have only conceded two goals in their last six matches. Away form saw them begin the season with a loss at Crystal Palace. Since then, they have gone seven unbeaten on the road with three wins. The last two have both been drawn and three of the last five have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. A tiight match looks likely here, go for under 2.5 goals in this match.
