Learner Tien vs Frances Tiafoe Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Cincinnati Open

We have an all-American clash in round of the outdoor hard court Cincinnati Open. 16th seed Learner Tien takes on Frances Tiafoe who is seeded one place below him. Two previous meetings between these players were long affairs and our prediction is more than 21.5 games.

For the winner, there's a fourth round match against either second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime or unseeded Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

Learner Tien was 12th in the latest rankings and that was 11 places above his fellow American. The 20-year-old has a 15-7 record on outdoor hard courts this year, compared to 16-8 for Tiafoe.

Tien is in good form at present and was a semi-finalist in the recent Canadian Open, losing to eventual champion Ben Shelton.

His first match in this Masters tournament saw him beat Sebastian Baez in straight sets with 22 games played.

These players are 1-1 in previous meetings. Both were played on this surface and had more than 21.5 games.

Frances Tiafoe has reached one ATP Tour outdoor hard court final this year, plus two other quarter-finals.

He also played in Canada recently, but had to retire in his third round match against Arthur Rinderknech. The 28-year-old beat Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets in his opening match and will give Tien a tough match.
