Le Havre vs Dijon Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 2

Ligue 2 leaders Le Havre know a point at home to 18th placed Dijon will earn them promotion. They go into this final match three points clear of second placed Metz and Bordeaux in third. A win will give them the Ligue 2 title but a loss could see them lose out on promotion altogether if both Metz and Bordeaux win. 'Le Club doyen' have had the promotion jitters in recent weeks. They had lost two successive league fixtures (making it three for the season) before getting a point at fourth placed Bastia on May 26. Le Havre needed an 88th minute equalizier to rescue a point. That also prevented them going three games without scoring. Not that 'Les Ciel et Marine' have been prolific scorers this season. They may be top but have only scored 45 goals in 37 league games but with only 19 conceded. Home form has seen Le Havre only beaten once in Ligue 2 this season.

Dijon also need points from this final Ligue 2 game of the season. They are in the relegation zone and a point from safety. It's tight down at the bottom though and Dijon will finish above 13th placed Valenciennes if they win and their rivals lose. Dijon have a -4 goal difference and that is better than any of the five sides above them. However, to have any hope of avoiding relegation, they need to avoid defeat at Le Havre. They are lucky to be in this position though because they looked doomed a few weeks ago. Dijon have gone eight league games without defeat with seven points from their last three matches. A form guide for the last ten league games has them in sixth place. Away form has seen them earn eight points from their last four on the road. Is it all too late though?  We go for under 2.5 goals to be scored in a tense match.
