Saudi Arabia will look to confirm their passage into the knockouts of the AFC Asian Cup when they play Kyrgyzstan in their second match. This Group F match will be played at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Rawdat Al Jahhaniya, Qatar. Ahead of this matchday, Saudi Arabia are 2nd in the standings with one win, while Kyrgyzstan are bottom after losing their first match. Kyrgyzstan were beaten 2-0 by Thailand in their first match of the tournament, as they fell to a goal in each half. It was their sixth loss across nine games and with only two wins, they have shown their difficulties in picking up full points. Even in the Asian Cup, they have lost four of their five matches so far, including three without scoring.

Saudi Arabia were stretched in their first match against Oman, where they fell behind to an early goal. It was only beyond the 75th minute that they were able to score and a brace helped Saudi escape with a 2-1 win. That said, Roberto Mancini’s side fully deserved the full points and are now unbeaten in six games in all competitions. It would be a surprise if Saudi fail to come out of the group, but they would be looking to do that at the first opportunity. A win here will confirm the same, combined together with a draw or defeat for Oman in the other game against Thailand.
