Kyoto Sanga and Vissel Kobe are set to battle it out at Sanga Stadium by Kyocera on matchday 38 of the J1 League.  Sanga are in third place in the league standings, while Kobe are in fifth place. Here's our match prediction. 

Kyoto Sanga finally turned the corner after a string of disappointing results in the J1 League. A recent away victory over Yokohama FC ended their four-match winless run, which comprised three draws and a solitary defeat.

Sanga are out to make it two wins in a row, and this time in front of their home crowd. That will be easier said than done, considering they are winless in their last five matches (D3, L2).

To make matters worse, they've lost two consecutive home matches against Vissel Kobe. This comes after three straight wins. 

The defending champions, Vissel Kobe, still have something to play for in the J1 League with their sights set on a top-three finish. With 64 points from 37 games, they are one point behind third-placed Kyoto Sanga and fourth-placed Sanfrecce Hiroshima. 

Ushi are unbeaten in their last two matches across all competitions. Their recent game was against FC Tokyo, which ended in a goalless league draw. 

Away from home, their performance has been less than satisfactory. They have won just one of their last six matches (D2, L3). In the league, they are winless in four outings.
