Tatjana Maria is 37-years-old and 83rd in the live rankings. The German had to win two qualifying matches to get into the main draw. That posed few problems with only four games lost.
Round one saw her defeat Leylah Annie Fernandez in straight sets. Those wins have taken her 2025 record to 17-17. Maria first played at Wimbledon 18 years ago and in 2022 reached the semi-finals but three of her last four visits have seen her lose in round one.
