Juventus vs Udinese Prediction & Betting Tips - Coppa Italia

Juventus are in Coppa Italia action this week as they host Udinese. The two teams met as recently as December when Udinese travelled to Turin, where they were on the receiving end of a Cristiano Ronaldo pummeling. The Portuguese forward scored twice and pounded the woodwork in a 3-1 victory. It was a very comfortable win for the Old Lady and they were frustrated to concede a goal that cost them a clean sheet in stoppage time. Super Cup defeat to Lazio aside, Juventus have been in stellar form this season and it's been required. Whereas in other seasons they may be so dominant that they can take their foot off the gas, this time around they have Inter Milan and Lazio breathing down their necks. Their squad depth may be the key factor in them winning the title again and we see that depth being on show in this fixture.

Only a few weeks away from his 35th birthday, Ronaldo is likely to be rested. Udinese will be relieved to avoid him. However, another top-class forward is bound to take his place. Juventus have such a strong second-string team that it could probably finish above Udinese (who are currently 13th) in Serie A. Udinese boss Luca Gotti will probably factor this in when he's selecting his team, also taking the chance to rest key players. Whoever he puts on the field, we can only see a Juventus win. The Serie A champions have won all of their last five meetings with Udinese. We expect them to lead at both half-time and full-time.
